About the Role
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for assisting Fulfillment Family Services clients with daily living providing supervision. The DSP is also responsible for supervising client safety and crisis management. This position is also required to maintain and properly manage client medication. The DSP will accurately keep daily logs for each client as required by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Therefore, the DSP is expected and required to protect ALL client information and confidentiality. The DSP must be able to establish positive relationships with Fulfillment Family Services executive management, our clients, government regulators and agents, client families, other healthcare providers, physicians and the community at large. Failure to do so will result in immediate dismissal from Fulfillment Family Services, LLC. As such, the DSP must demonstrate professionalism, sound problem-solving and decision making skills. Additionally, Fulfillment Family Services' DSPs will assist clients with grocery shopping, meal preparation, receiving and making calls, setting appointments, keeping invoice records, and ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record as well as:
Must have the ability to represent Fulfillment Family Services, LLC. in a positive manner within the community
Background checks and pre-employment drug testing
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Certification and Experience or education in mental health, human services or related field is preferred
Demonstrated leadership ability, emotional maturity and patience necessary to understand and accept the social, psychological and emotional needs of adults with developmental disabilities
